It is easy to feel Finn's emotions as she loses her home and family, then as she attempts to hide her true identity and finally as she falls in love. Green creates a world with humor and depth that explores the notions of what it means to be free and how much people depend on themselves, others, and their place in the world. Enjoy a variety of emotions and outlooks as Finn follows her dreams and her heart in New Sion.

About the Author
Since her childhood, growing up in New Zealand, Diana has been an avid storyteller. For years she enjoyed teaching art and special education, while continuing to write as a hobby. After she developed chronic fatigue syndrome, a career change was necessary, but happily this led her to become a professional author. Diana’s favorite genres are fantasy, science fiction, historical, and romance. She currently lives in beautiful Washington State, where she writes for The Wild Rose Press. Sci-fi With A Dash Of Western

This was a book that I was unsure I would like, but I was pleasantly surprised. New Sion was able to capture my imagination and attention shortly after beginning it. I found that the author did a phenomenal job creating interesting characters, engaging scene descriptions, and a fabulous storyline. The story reminded me of Star Wars with strange worlds and kidnapped princess, reminded me of the movie "Riddick" with Finn pretending to be a boy, and lastly an old time wild west aura that surrounds the story-line. This truly is a fascinating piece of work when you look closer at it.
New Sion is a book I have already recommended to family and friends, knowing that they would enjoy it. New Sion touches on so many different interests and weaves them into a fabulous story.

Characters with spunk, intelligence and challenging circumstances - a good read. Diana Green has a fresh voice and action packed plots. I recommend for teenage through adult readers. This one is a keeper!

A Phenomenal Story!

‘New Sion’ by Diana Green is a phenomenal story. The reader starts the journey with a young girl orphaned and left to die in a man’s world, a colony world where it is illegal for women to own property or try to protect themselves. The only way for Fiona ‘Finn’ Colville to survive on her own terms is to disguise herself as a man and learn to fight.
Then we meet Eamon Sullivan, a government-registered bounty hunter. Eamon is tracking the men who killed his partner.
Across the galaxy, a war has broken out and a royal guard is taxed with the mission of protecting the princess.
So, what does a backwards, low-technology colony have to do with a war between other species? You’ll have to read the book to find out.
Ms. Green has created an intriguing list of characters and locales that draw the reader in and keep them spellbound. The plot, the characters, the action and the scene descriptions were all well-developed and executed to perfection.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it! Ms. Green has definitely made a new fan, and I can’t wait to read more of her work.
